Okay everybody knows that I pretty much enjoyed school I didn't enjoy the other kids. However there were a couple of teachers that were shall we say less than professional. The story of my encounter woth one is here ( Read more... )

Short answer?  It doesn't do any good.

Long answer?  Waaay too long and nuanced for me to get into.

Anyhow, here's my story if you want to read it.

I did report. My mother slapped me and called me a liar. I told the school counselor and was taken out of the house that evening by police and family members.

This seems to be the day for people to post about abuses they survived -- growing up, relationships, etc.

The main things I remember about my grandparents are not physical abuses by any means -- that wasn't what they did --  but the subtle-like-a-brickbat comments:

a friend of mine was trying to talk me into using a matchmaking company in Springfield that she was using.  They had the paperwork, the not-very-scientific personality/psych profile tests, the videos that people would make telling about themselves and what they wanted in a mate / relationship ( Read more... )

More than 25 years ago, I was leaving Ft.
